Hotel Karahé is located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, six kilometers south of the town of Quepos and 500 meters from Manuel Antonio National Park. Quepos can be reached by air from San José on Sansa Airlines. Depending on the season, there are two to four flights daily. During the rainy season (May to October), flights are in the morning.

Driving from San José to Quepos takes approximately 3-1/2 to 4 hours. The road winds through coffee plantations, past the mouth of the Tárcoles River and its many crocodiles, and finally along the Pacific coast. Gasoline stations, shops and restaurants are frequent enough that you will not run out of gas or go hungry! A vehicle with high clearance is best, and advisable during the rainy season (May to October). While the drive can be a beautiful experience and a wonderful first impression of Costa Rica, we recommend spending your first night in San José and beginning the drive first thing in the morning.

Alternatively during Manuel Antonio's high season, and for a small fee, some rental agencies will have the vehicle delivered to your hotel in Manuel Antonio or the agency's branch in Quepos.
