Verde Mar (also known as La Casa del Sol) is a little hotel located in the rain forest just a few steps from the beach. The rooms are in a long concrete building, and though a bit small, they have colorfully artistic interiors and large windows with views of the ubiquitous tropical foliage.
There's a small pool in back, from which a wooden catwalk leads through the woods to the nearby beach.
Wake-up to fresh roasted Costa Rican coffee or just picked tropical fruit. Hike through nature’s finest jungles or stroll her soft sandy beaches. All minutes from your front door! Explore hidden waterfalls. Share your day with monkeys, hummingbirds and iguanas. Enjoy kayaking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, or world class sport fishing.
Verde Mar Hotel is one of the best choices for proximity to the Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. From your room, it's just a 50m (164-ft.) walk to the beach (Playa Espadilla) via a raised wooden walkway. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are plenty within walking distance.

With one of the most stunning, picture-postcard backdrops in the country, Manuel Antonio is one of the lushest places in Costa Rica, with spectacular white-grey sand beaches fringed by thickly forested green hills. There is a huge variety of things to do- walking the Parks easy trails, whitewater rafting, ocean cruising, horseback riding, fishing, sea kayaking, to name but a few.
Manuel Antonio is one of Costa Ricas best known and most often visited park, despite the fact that it’s also the smallest. The park is an island of verdant wildness in a rapidly developing area with a relatively intact wet tropical forest and abundant wildlife.
This park has a remarkably long list of species inhabiting it: brown pelicans, brown boobies, tyrant hawk-eagles, gray-headed chachalacas, solaters ant bird, coatimundis, two and three toed sloths, toed anteaters, ocelots amongst others.
