From San José International Airport:

Head west through the Interamerican Highway (also known as Ruta 1), passing the International Airport, traveling past the towns of Palmares, San Ramon and Esparza, until arriving at the intersection between Puntarenas and Guanacaste. Continue through Ruta 1 straight through the crossroads at the city of Liberia (see map above). Turn left at the Liberia crossroads following the signs to Papagayo, passing by the Liberia International Airport all the way through the town of Guardia. At the end of Guardia you will find a big bridge crossing the Tempisque river.

From this point, there are two alternatives to reach the resort:

• After passing the Tempisque river bridge, turn on first right (Papagayo Do-It Center store), then continue for approximately 1 km (0.62 miles) then turn left at the Premier Fiesta sign continuing through a gravel road until reaching the next intersection. Turn right following the Premier Fiesta signs until reaching the resort. (Approximate time: 20 minutes)
   
• After passing the Tempisque river bridge, continue heading west through the road for approximately 2 km (0.62 miles) until reaching a crossroads intersection. Continue passing straight through this intersection towards Sardinal and Playas del Coco. Turn right to Playas del Coco until reaching the next intersection to Playa Hermosa and Playa Panamá. Turn right here and continue for another 10 km (6.2 miles) until reaching the resort. (Approximate time: 35 minutes)

From Liberia International Airport:

Turn right on the airport exit towards the town of Guardia (see map above). At the end of Guardia you will find a big bridge crossing the Tempisque river. Follow the remaining directions as stated above.
