Costa Rica is located in Central America, just north of Panama, where Central and South America meet. When you fly into Costa Rica, most likely you will land in San Jose, the capital and biggest city in Costa Rica. From San Jose, you can take a plane, a bus, or a car to get to the hotel.

By Car
Take the Inter-American Highway out of San Jose toward Puntarenas. The turn-off to the right past the airport is indicated by signs to Jaco. Follow the signs. Once past Jaco, signs will direct you to Quepos/Manuel Antonio, from where you take the main road to the Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio for about 2km. Turn left, when you see a big sign, showing the Hotel California. This beautiful drive through the mountains and along the Pacific Coast takes 3 1/2 hours - watch out for all the potholes between Tarcoles and Parrita.
