For those of you who never been to Roatan, the largest of the Bay Islands, there are familiar areas that most of the little properties are situated on, one is caled West Bay the other is West End.

Diving & Snorkeling in the Bay Islands
Located between 12 and 40 miles off the coast of Honduras, the Bay Islands (Las Islas de la Bahia) serve as a remote outpost set in the middle of the world’s second largest barrier reef. Geographically, the islands form the visible portion of the Bonacca Ridge, a subsea mountain range borne of volcanic activity centuries ago. The islands, all mountainous jungle, slope down to postcard-perfect white sand beaches shaded by coconut palms. Inland, fragrant almond, mango, cashew, mandarin orange and breadfruit trees shade the cliffs and provide food and shelter to iguanas, parrots, snakes, deer and wild boar.
